Fall is one of my favorite times of year. Between all the props in the Photo Camper, it honestly feels like Halloween could be every day around here, the costume ideas alone are endless. But I’m still looking forward to celebrating my favorite season with my two little pumpkins at home.
Ready to embrace spooky season yourself? Here are a few fun fall events I found to help you kick things off.
Bring Your Family to Little Haunts Day
Looking for a child-friendly spooky season activity? Head to This Is the Place Heritage Park with the family. Wear your costume (get more than one use out of it!) or leave it at home and just come trick-or-treat, catch the Story Telling Witch, and join the costume parade with Alice the Dragon.
When: Weekends in October, 10 am to 5 pm. Check the event page for current dates and details.
Don Your Best Hat at the Witches Hat Party
A fresh spin on costuming: put all your effort into your hat instead. Wear or make your coolest hat and head to the Witches Hat Party at Whisperwood Boutique. Have a favorite hat already? Wear it. Want to build one from scratch? Get started early so it’s ready for the contest. Prizes go out for the most enchanting, spookiest, funniest, and largest hats.
For the Adults: Brew Lights
For anyone 21 and up, ZooBrew Brew Lights at Hogle Zoo is a fun one. Wear a costume, sip spooky-themed drinks, take in the Halloween decorations, and learn about the animals while you’re at it. A solid adults-only option if you want the fall vibe without the kid-friendly crowd.
Host Your Own Event
Have your own idea for a spooky season bash? Level it up by adding a photo booth before it’s too late. I bring a fully restored 1968 camper trailer to fall events around Salt Lake, Davis, and Utah County, and it’s a fun way to give your Halloween party its own unforgettable photo moment.
