Hey there!

It’s almost fall—my favorite time of year for photos! 🍂 The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and the light is just right. If you’re in Salt Lake City, there are two spots that are my go-to for capturing all that autumn magic:

  1. Silver Lake Loop 🍁
This place holds a special spot in my heart—Roger and I got engaged here! The scenery is stunning with vibrant fall colors reflecting off the lake. Whether you’re taking photos with family, friends, or solo, Silver Lake offers breathtaking views in every direction.
  2. American Fork Canyon 🏞️
We explored this gem during Covid, and it’s become a favorite ever since. The canyon is full of dramatic backdrops that scream fall.

To help make your photos stand out, here are a few of my favorite fall photo tips:

  • Use layers in your outfits: Fall weather is all about cozy layers! This adds texture and depth to your photos.
  • Capture movement: Whether it’s tossing leaves in the air or a candid laugh, movement brings life to your pictures.
  • Timing is everything: The best light for fall photos is during the golden hour, right before sunset. The soft, warm glow makes everything look magical.
